Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie
- 1 Each-Pre-made Pie Crust, 9 inch
- 3/4 Cup-Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 Tablespoons-Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 Cup-Brown Sugar
- 3 Each-Eggs-large
- 1 Teaspoon-Kosher Salt
- 3/4 Cup-Light Corn syrup
- 2 Tablespoons-Bourbon
- 2 Cups-Pecans-halves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Place 3 cups of water in a stock pot, next place a mixing bowl over the top and bring water to a boil.
- Lower heat to medium and place the butter and chocolate chips in the bowl to melt, stir with a rubber spatula to combine.
- Turn off heat when melted and combined completely, leave on stove.
- Place brown sugar, eggs, salt, corn syrup and bourbon in a separate mixing bowl.
- Mix with a wire whip until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Add melted chocolate/butter mixture and mix to combine.
- Place pecans to bottom of pie crust and pour filling over pecans.
- Place pie in preheated oven and bake for 40-50 minutes or until top center of the filling becomes firm but not hard.
- Remove from oven and let rest for at least one hour.
