Roast Turkey Sandwich with Braised Greens-Bacon-Swiss
- Recipe-Bolillo Sandwich Bread
- Recipe-Roasted Spice Crusted Turkey Breast
- Recipe-Bacon Braised Greens
- 4 Slices-Swiss Cheese
- 8 Slices-Bacon-cooked until just crisp (oven baked on rack) or pan cooked
- ½ Cups-Mayo
- 1 Tablespoon-Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon-Hot Sauce
- To Taste-Black Pepper
Directions
- Make bread according to recipe.
- Braise greens according to recipe and keep warm.
- Roast turkey according to recipe and allow 30 minutes to rest.
- Combine mayo, vinegar, hot sauce and black pepper.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Slice bread separating top from bottom.
- Smear mayo on bottom piece, top with slices of roast turkey and cover with Swiss cheese.
- Place bottom pieces along with top piece (cut side up) on a sheet tray and place in oven.
- Cook to melt cheese and toast top bun.
- Remove, top cheese with bacon and cover with well drained greens.
- Smear a little mayo on toasted part of remaining buns, top sandwich and serve.
