Roast Turkey Sandwich with Braised Greens-Bacon-Swiss

  • Recipe-Bolillo Sandwich Bread
  • Recipe-Roasted Spice Crusted Turkey Breast
  • Recipe-Bacon Braised Greens
  • 4 Slices-Swiss Cheese
  • 8 Slices-Bacon-cooked until just crisp (oven baked on rack) or pan cooked
  • ½ Cups-Mayo
  • 1 Tablespoon-Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon-Hot Sauce
  • To Taste-Black Pepper


  1. Make bread according to recipe.
  2. Braise greens according to recipe and keep warm.
  3. Roast turkey according to recipe and allow 30 minutes to rest.
  4. Combine mayo, vinegar, hot sauce and black pepper.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  6. Slice bread separating top from bottom.
  7. Smear mayo on bottom piece, top with slices of roast turkey and cover with Swiss cheese.
  8. Place bottom pieces along with top piece (cut side up) on a sheet tray and place in oven.
  9. Cook to melt cheese and toast top bun.
  10. Remove, top cheese with bacon and cover with well drained greens.
  11. Smear a little mayo on toasted part of remaining buns, top sandwich and serve.
